Astrology – 3rd House – Sahaja – House of Younger Siblings

This is the 3^rd house of any birth chart. This is the house from where you see your younger siblings, your courage (parakram) and communication.

This house represents your ability to use hands, short distance travels, visa, passport, driving licence, IT & communication industry, interviews, Self-purpose long distance travels, writing, journalism, media, performing creative arts, roads, giving advice, gain of family’s wealth, neighbours, moving away from home, instability of your mind, gains of your first child, wishes desires of your first child, documentation work, documents, professional debts, emergencies, transformations in life, subconscious mind, desires, efforts, hard work (purusharta), correspondence, writing, change of address, contracts, agreement, rumours carrying tales, away from home, lawyer, author.

Benefic planets placed well in the 3^rd house give good results for the above significations. While Malefic planets place not so well in the 3^rd house will create problems is the fructification of the above significations.

This house also plays a very prominent role in understanding what might lead you to your Moksha (liberation).

Relatives it signifies are – Siblings, neighbours, Father-in-law.

The body parts signified by this house are Ears, Hands, Arms, Shoulders, Throat, Collar bones, nervous system.

Placements of different planets and lords of different houses in the 2^nd house play a very crucial role to judge the entire well being of the house.

Below are the basic and general permutation and combinations, as given in the texts, if the 3^rd lord is placed in the 12 different houses. This is at a very basic and mundane level. The actual impact can be judged when we combine the Lord placement with the sign and planet placements. But from a basic comprehension aspect, this will be helpful to understand as we go along. So, this is not to be taken literally as full diagnosis is required. You also have to understand, that these texts were written when our society and culture had much different values and norms. You have to be intelligent enough to interpret these according to today’s time place and condition. These are just excerpts. 3^rd Lord in the 1^st house: Native will have self-made wealth, be disposed to worship, be valorous and be intelligent, although devoid of learning.

3^rd Lord in the 2^nd house: Native will be corpulent (Fat, obese), devoid of valour, will not make much efforts, be not happy and will have an eye on others’ wives and others’ wealth.

3^rd Lord in the 3^rd house: Native will be endowed with happiness through co-born and will have wealth and sons, be cheerful and extremely happy.

3^rd Lord in the 4^th house: Native will be happy, wealthy and intelligent, but will acquire a not so good spouse.

3^rd Lord in the 5^th house: Native will have sons and be virtuous. If in the process 3^rd Lord be conjunct (yuti) with, or receives an aspect (Drishti) from a malefic, the native will have a formidable (fear inspiring) wife.

3^rd Lord in the 6^th house: Native will be inimical to his co-born, be affluent, will not be well disposed to his maternal uncle and be dear to his maternal aunt.

3^rd Lord in the 7^th house: Native will be interested in serving the king. He will not be happy during boyhood, but the end of his life he will be happy.

3^rd Lord in the 8^th house: Native will be a thief, will derive his livelihood serving others and will die at the gate of the royal palace.

3^rd Lord in the 9^th house: Native will lack paternal bliss, will make fortunes through wife and will enjoy progenic and other pleasures.

3^rd Lord in the 10^th house: Native will have all lands of happiness and self-made wealth and be interested in nurturing wicked females.

3^rd Lord in the 11^th house: Native will always gain in trading, be intelligent, although not literate, be adventurous and will serve others.

3^rd Lord in the 12^th house: Native will spend on evil deeds, will have a wicked father and will be fortunate through a female.
